Lily-Rose Depp’s dress may be gorgeous, but her serpentine shoes are the star of the show
We live for everything Lily-Rose Depp brings to the table. From her artistic expression that challenges gender identity; to her recent nod to goth fashion; to her breakout role in the horror-comedy, Yoga Hosers, which came out last week.
Now, Depp is creating a whole new wave of award-show buzz surrounding her performance in her new film Planetarium. Starring alongside Natalie Portman, as a pair of sisters who can communicate with ghosts during pre-WWII France. Yes, with a plot like that, our jaws are on the floor, too.
Such a film requires a Venice Film Festival premiere look that will dazzle and destroy the red carpet. Which is why Lily-Rose chose this showstopper:
It’s giving us classic, old-Hollywood vibes – and yes: it’s Chanel. Lily-Rose is the current spokeswoman for Chanel No. 5 L’Eau, so it makes sense that she would choose to rep the legendary label.
But wait. What’s that creeping up her stiletto? Is that a…
Yes. It definitely is…
IT’S A SNAKE!
Lily-Rose Depp surprises us once again with this Garden of Eden-meets-Slytherin-couture realness. And, they’re also Chanel. Talk about brand-loyalty, girl! The pumps feature a diamond encrusted serpent twisting its way up to munch on a Chanel-emblazoned pearl. They’re not available to purchase yet, but a similar sandal style starts at $1100. While that number is definitely out of our price range, the shoes are completely versatile.
Lily-Rose also paired her snakes with this sequined canary yellow Chanel dress for the photo call earlier that day:
A U.S. premiere of Planetarium is slated sometime this winter, and we can only hope that Lily-Rose brings these shoes and a bevy of other outfits to pair them with! A slinky pantsuit? A romper? We’ll take all of it!
