Lily Collins looked like a gothic period-piece movie bride at the Critics’ Choice Awards

Lily Collins was a Gothic vision at the Critics’ Choice Awards on Sunday night. In a to-die-for Elie Saab Couture gown with Chanel jewels and a vibe more vintage than any apparition we’ve seen, the actress practically floated down the red carpet.

The gown featured a high neck and angel-wing sleeves in delicate, ivory lace with embroidered crystals, and a band across the chest that formed a cross. No goth jewelry needed – it was embedded in the dress.

Lily Collins wore her hair in a wispy up-do, as if she’d journeyed through smoke and mirrors, from heaven to hell.

Celebrity MUA Fiona Stiles applied a pale base, for a porcelain foundation to her smokey, burgundy eyes and matching lip.

The next morning, the Mirror Mirror actress was nominated for a Golden Globe for best actress in a film musical or comedy, for her turn in Rules Don’t Apply.

We’re certain Collins took last night’s loss with grace. It’s important to know when you’ve been beaten, yes? But then to wake up this morning with news of her her nomination, we can only imagine the feeling. Everyone has magic within them but very few discover it.
