Lily (Mia’s BFF) from “The Princess Diaries” pretty much looks like royalty herself now
It has been just over 15 years since The Princess Diaries made us all wish that Genovia was a real country. We loved watching Anne Hathaway’s character Mia blossom from awkward to fabulous with the help of Julie Andrews. But one of our other faves was Mia’s outspoken activist BFF Lily, who was played by Heather Matarazzo.
Lily was the adorable outsider who saw that her life had a purpose beyond high school.
She encouraged Mia to use her position as a princess to help the world. She also knew how to rock a scrunchie, and we all wanted her stuffed animal backpack.
Lily wasn’t so keen on her friend getting a huge makeover, though. She loved her awkward BFF just the way she was.
And we don’t blame her! These two were so much fun together, and we would have totally wanted them as our friends in high school!
Today, Heather Matarazzo is still fabulous, and she’s blossomed into quite the fashionista herself.
