Lili Reinhart didn’t have the best first impression of Cole Sprouse, and it’s crazy relatable

Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse may refuse to confirm their romance (even though there’s so much evidence to suggest they’re definitely more than friends), but we think it’s safe to say these two are very fond of each other. However, this wasn’t always the case. In fact, Sprouse didn’t exactly make the best first impression on Reinhart.

In a new video interview with Glamour, the cast of Riverdale participated in “friendship exercises” (as in, like, literal trust falls) and revealed their first impressions of each other. Sprouse and Reinhart may be extremely close now, but it wasn’t always like that—at least not right away.

"I thought his voice was annoying. I was like, 'That guy's got an annoying voice,'" she hilariously revealed. "And now it's grown on me, I guess," she said with a smile.

Meanwhile, Sprouse admitted that Reihbart “was a tough egg to crack” because she didn’t open up to her castmates at first.

"She’s very shy at first and reserved," he explained. "I think it was about halfway into the first season she started letting people in, truly."

Even though their first impressions might have been a little rocky, the (probable) IRL couple told the magazine that they have the utmost respect for each other. While they kept things professional—and weren’t too cheesy—they both shared what they like most about the other, and you’re going to want to grab some tissues.

The actress said she admires Sprouse’s passion for photography, art, and acting, saying, “Cole is one of the smartest—the smartest person—that I’m friends with. He’s incredibly passionate about art, about photography, about acting. And I really admire that.” The former Disney star returned the praise, noting Reinhart’s nurturing spirit and revealing that she has a way of making those in her life feel better.

"Maybe your mother inspired this in you, but you are by nature a caretaker and an extremely nurturing person," he said. "You just want to make people feel better and help people get through whatever they're getting through."

Sprouse went on to say that Reinhart consistently pushes him to be better, as well as “inspires excellence out of everybody she works with.”
