Lili Reinhart and Camila Mendes wore the best, most nostalgic “couples” Halloween costume

Although Halloween 2018 is still a few days away, Halloweekend 2018 produced some amazing costumes. Our favorite celebrities pulled out all the stops this year and turned out some serious looks. Harry Styles did Elton John at Dodger Stadium. Nicky Hilton dressed in her sister Paris’s iconic chainmail outfit. And the ladies of Riverdale won the couples costume hands down: Camila Mendes and Lili Reinhart stepped out as Pedro and Napoleon from Napoleon Dynamite.

On October 27th, Mendes shared a pic to Instagram of herself and Reinhart as the iconic duo from the cult 2004 classic starring Jon Heder and Efren Ramirez.

Pulling a line from Pedro's lackluster class president campaign speech, Mendes captioned her post, "Vote for me, and all your wildest dreams will come true." They both certainly have our vote.

Reinhart later posted to her Instagram Story that Napoleon Dynamite was actually playing on television the day after the two debuted their costumes. Fate is a crazy thing.

A handful of Betty and Veronica’s Riverdale cast mates also opted to wear couples costumes over the weekend. KJ Apa and Mendes’s beau Charles Melton wore matching leopard unitards. We like to think they were going for “Josie and the Pussycats,” but who really knows?
