You don’t have to be on the receiving end of a bridezilla’s meltdown to know that wedding flowers are a big friggin’ deal. They spruce up the venue and give fidgety bridesmaids something to do with their hands, but this newlywed couple whose bridal party held rescue dogs instead of flowers proves that furry friends might be the new wedding bouquet (except when it comes to the bridal bouquet toss, because obviously).

For bride Sarah Mallouk Crain’s big day, she and her husband Matt decided to show their support for rescue dogs by swapping flowers for five boxer-coonhounds named for first ladies Abigail, Dolley, Elizabeth, Louisa and Martha. Because adorable puppies make everything better, our hearts are exploding over the couple’s sweet wedding day pics.

Seriously, we want to rescue ALL of the dogs.

According to BuzzFeed, Crain borrowed her special wedding day guests from Pennsylvania rescue organization Pitties Love Peace, where she serves as a board member.

She told the site, “Don’t shop, adopt. The puppies that you see in our photos are just as good as any that you’d find in a pet store.”

BRB, guys. Crying real tears.
