Twitter hates Bran Stark from "Game of Thrones" (and they have a point)
Since the beginning of HBO’s Game of Thrones, we’ve been rooting for House Stark to restore honesty and virtue to the Seven Kingdoms. Between their integrity, bravery, and their adorably protective direwolves, they’re easy to root for.
All, of course, except one Stark who just may be becoming the most despised character on the show (at least on Twitter). Because everything bad that’s happening is all his fault.
I am, of course, talking about Bran Stark. If the verdict is still out for you on Bran (which probably means you’re not yet caught up on season 6), I wouldn’t read on. Then again, if you’re anything like Bran you probably won’t listen to me anyway. Just know there will be consequences.
Ever since the episode “The Door,” Bran Stark has been a target of a lot of hate (RIP Hodor and Summer). If he had just listened to the Three-Eyed Raven and not gone into the the visions by himself, a lot of terrible things would have (theoretically) never happened. Not to mention, this is the second time he hasn’t heeded the advice of someone wiser than him and bad things went down.
And now people on Twitter and banding together in agreement that he needs to stop screwing over everyone around him.
Even other characters are trying to get through to Bran before he screws over more innocent creatures.
TBH, Bran was just sort of annoying in his first transgression. You could make the argument that everything was shaky in Westeros and he was just the catalyst that set it all off. But then his carelessness straight up killed the brave Hodor and Summer. After that, people are not feeling him.
Luckily, it seems like at least the actor who plays Hodor has forgiven him. So maybe there’s hope for us all.
Then again, Hodor was a lot braver and better man than most, so don’t expect the road to forgiveness to be that easy, Bran.
No matter who you’re rooting for to finally sit on the Iron Throne and rule the Seven Kingdoms, at least GoT fans everywhere can bond on this one issue: Bran has to shape up. Period.
Sorry for the realness, Bran. We only say it because we care.
