They’ll be there for you …. again! That’s right. The cast of Friends is finally set to reunite! Just maybe not in the way you might expect.

Speaking at the 2016 Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour in Pasadena, California on this morning, NBC chairman Robert Greenblatt revealed that that Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, Courteney Cox, Matthew Perry, Lisa Kudrow and Matt LeBlanc will all appear on an upcoming two-hour special. But this special won’t be all about Friends. It will honor the legacy of legendary TV director James Burrows.

“I’m hoping that all six of them will be in the same room at the same time, but I’m not sure if we can logistically pull it off,” Greenblatt explained to the crowd of journalists, which included HelloGiggles. “But I think it’s safe that all six will be there.”

Now, to be clear, we won’t be seeing all our old pals reprising their characters or anything crazy amazing like that (we can’t have it all, just like Joey couldn’t have all that turkey that time). But that makes sense because special isn’t just about them. There will likely also be appearances by other major TV stars from the past, as Burrows also worked on some of your other fave shows of the past including Will & Grace, Frasier and Cheers (!!!). This special is actually in honor of Burrows directing his 1000th episode of television (for newbie NBC comedy Crowded), so it’s safe to say that Friends is only a small (albeit notable!) part of his winning equation for success.

Still, could you BE anymore excited at the prospect of seeing your favorite friends back together, even just for a short clip? By just getting them together again, NBC could spark some further reunion conversations, right? RIGHT?!

Sorry for going all Monica on you right there. Cooling down now.

Whatever the case, we’ll be there on Sunday, February 21 at 9 p.m. when this special airs, to support our gang, Central Perk mug and Kleenexes in hand. We’re already calling this episode “The One Where We Cry Seeing Ross and Rachel—er, Jennifer and David—Sitting Next to Each Other Again.”
