Visit London on Instagram with these 8 accounts for every Anglophile
Not all of us have the funds to travel, but anyone with a computer can get a taste for any city in the world by scrolling through Instagram to see what its residents (and visitors!) want to share. And lucky for us, there are plenty of photogs, both professional and amateur, who are only too happy to show off their city!
We’re diehard Anglophiles for loads of reasons, one of them is how beautiful the City of London is in spring. Even on a rainy day! (It’s really quite unfair, actually.) From architectural treasures like Westminster Abbey to the double-decker buses to the cutest darn wisteria-lined houses we’ve ever seen in our lives, here’s all the beauty that London has to offer. Make yourself a cup of Earl Grey tea and get ready to hit “follow” for these 8 Instagram accounts:
Rosie is a lifestyle blogger for The Londoner who gives us serious Pippa Middleton vibes. (I mean, whose live is this fabulous? We can’t even conceive of it.) You’ll have to scroll through Rosie’s feed a bit because she travels all around the world (Greece, New York City, and Italy are just three places she’s been recently) but London is home base and gets a lot of well-deserved love.
If you follow one Instagram account for your London fix, make it Siobhaise. She’s the founder of the Pretty City London and The Pretty Cities accounts, so she’s got a real eye for beautiful cities. Her personal account is full of London pics that will have you buying the next plane ticket to Heathrow.
Margarita Karenko is a professional photographer and blogger with a thing for quirky architecture, especially pretty front doors. Her feed is the place to look at all of London’s beautiful pastel houses for your own #homedecorinspo. Really, we had no idea that Londoners love their houses to be so colorful!
Alex is the lifestyle blogger behind Mr. Swaggy (or Mrs. Waggy 🙂 ) and his landscapes of London’s quaint and wisteria-lined Notting Hill will give you serious neighborhood envy.
This street art-heavy feed shows a grittier side of London on Instagram, which is beautiful in its own way.
Elena Shamis is a lifestyle blogger and photographer who previously worked in marketing. Her snaps of London show a real attention to the composition of images.
Photographer Monsur Ali is a Bangladeshi living in London and calls himself “a tourist in my own city.” We don’t know — our tourist photos have never looked as beautiful as these.
