Just because you’re a grown up doesn’t mean you have to grow up! Tis’ the season to treat yourself, so buy yourself a bath fizzy in the shape of a cupcake or a Hello Kitty ice cream maker just because you can. Here at HelloGiggles, we encourage you to be as whimsical as you want. Have fun and indulge your inner tween!

Jewelry

DC Comics BANG! And POW! Rings, $55 each at Fab.com

I’m obsessed with rings. I usually have at least two or three on each hand because I can never decide which ones I want to wear. I also love comics. These rings are super cool, simple, yet expressive.

Bestie Necklace, $18 at Urban Outfitters

The best part about having a best friend is obviously wearing matching jewelry. Instead of the usual “BFF” letters split in two, this “Thick as Thieves” golden necklace is elegant, unique, and the perfect gift your bestie.

Hamburger Earrings, $14.99 at Modcloth

What’s better than a hamburger, you may ask? Hamburger earrings. These adorable little meat sandwiches are small, but bold.

Hair bow set, $2.80 at Forever 21

Bows are never not the cutest hair accessories. I have at least ten different colors; Forever 21’s bow collection has exploded this year, providing us with many options. I chose these glittery bows because even though they’re shiny, they’re not gaudy. They are the perfect addition to casual outfits or even more formal ones.

Hello Kitty Ice Cream Maker, $60 at Claire’s

Remember in day camp when you made ice cream by shaking milk, ice, and rocks around in a circle for like, two hours? Okay, if not, I did that once and it was a hassle, although I think at the time I had a blast. We’re making ice cream! With rocks! Okay, anyway. This Hello Kitty ice cream maker makes producing ice-cream much easier.  Plus, you can make cool flavors, like orange blossom, or vanilla avocado.

Skullcandy Paul Frank headphones, $39.99 at Amazon.com

I don’t have these exact headphones, but I do have Paul Frank Skullcandy headphones and they are phenomenal. Seriously. If you want optimal performance (great, now I’m sounding like a sex ad) and comfort at a reasonable price, buy these! Plus, they’re super cute.

2014 Lisa Frank Calendar, $10.55 at Amazon

I actually just bought this and I’m super excited to start using it! I love expressive calendars because it gives me another thing to look forward to. This Lisa Frank calendar sums up everything I loved as a 90s child: neon colors and wildly exaggerated fluffy animals in overalls.

Jaguar bobby pins, $2.80 at Forever 21

These are the coolest bobby pins I have ever seen, I’m pretty sure. They’re super inexpensive, so feel free to buy a handful, because bobby pins have a way of disappearing no matter how many times I tell myself to put them back where they came from. Bobby pins may be the most elusive accessory I have, but maybe with these fancy Jaguar pins, I’ll be less likely to lose them.

A Girl’s Guide to Hunting and Fishing, Various prices at Amazon

This is the ultimate book about growing up. A Girl’s Guide can be described at a “Cycle Story” or a set of connected short stories. They follow Jane Rosenal through her teen years and up until adulthood, depicting romantic and career struggles vividly and humorously. This is just one of those books you have to read when it’s rainy out and you feel like whispering, “Oh my God, I know!” over and over again.

Cupcake bath bomb, $8 at Urban Outfitters

The cupcake bath bomb makes the perfect stocking stuffer! It’s small but potent. Unwrap your cupcake, toss it into your bath, feel it sizzle and soak your tub with delicious, freshly-baked cupcake smell.

Beaded Curtains, $19.99 at Shopwildthings.com

When I was a tween, all I ever wanted was a beaded curtain for my closet. Since this would require ripping the sliding doors from the wall, my parents told me this would never happen. However, now that we don’t need our parent’s permission to mess up our rooms, we can install all the beads we want! This website is apparently the “#1” source for beaded curtains. They have tons of options, including rainbow and heart shaped beads. Go bead wild!

Owl Curtain Rings, $14.99 at Modcloth

If you want to spice up your bathroom without spending too much money or purchasing anything that is too big (I used to have a bathroom the size of coat closet, so I couldn’t do much for decorating), these little owl shower curtain rings are perfect. Plus, they’re so playful and colorful!

Hershey’s candy lip balm, $14.50 at Claire’s

I have a terrible obsession with lip balms. I have approximately 15-20 scattered throughout my apartment and my bags.  Even though I tell myself I shouldn’t buy anymore, logic says that one can never have too many lip balms. Especially during winter, when it gets so dry. Stay hydrated with this yummy package of lip balm! This collection includes cherry Jolly Rancher, Hershey kisses, Reeses peanut-butter cup, and Bubble Yum.

I Heart Unicorns Perfume, $52 at A Beautiful Life

According to this interview with Sarah Heyward (Hellogiggles and GIRLS writer),  this perfume smells like “a half-eaten pack of Sweet Tarts left in a teenage girl’s dresser drawer,” and that pretty much sums it up.

Heavy Metal Alphabet sweater, $24.80 at Forever 21

Not only does this sweater go with just about everything, it’s super adorable and comfy. And, if you’re like me and need to recite the alphabet to yourself whenever you forget whether R is before S, this gift is perfect. Well, kind of.

Kitten flats, $59.99 at Modcloth

These shoes are a little bit pricy, but totally worth it! They’re comfortable AND they’re mint green, which is always an amazing color to wear. Plus, you’ll be walking around with little cats on your toes. What could be better?

Adventure Time Slippers, $14.63 at Hot Topic

Who doesn’t love Adventure Time? Who doesn’t love walking around a cold house with fluffy slippers? The correct answer for both: no one.  These bad boys are perfect for spending the dreary day inside watching cartoon re-runs.

Troop Beverly Hills backpack, $62.99 at Modcloth

Troop Beverly Hills may be one of my favorite under dog stories. It teaches you to never abandon who you truly are and that staying in hotels is a way better option than camping out in the wilderness. One of my favorite parts is when Phyllis re-invents her troop outfit so that it’s more stylish. This backpack reminds me of that except kind of in reverse but still stylish.
