Good old Reddit, we knew we could count on you to deliver big this Christmas.

Yesterday, user “eudicotyldeon” took to the site to show the world their family’s gingerbread recreation of the Overlook Hotel. Yes, that’s right, that isolated and forsaken place in the mountains of Colorado where things did NOT go well for Jack Nicholson in The Shining.

It would have been impressive enough for this family to recreate the exterior of the Overlook (with a Rice Krispies Treats maze, to boot!) but this is clearly a family of overachievers, so they also made sure to design the interior rooms so that they depict famous scenes from ‘The Shining.’

Some things to note as you’re scrolling through the pictures: Um, the gingerbread TWINS!   And the “Here’s Johnny! scene made out of sugar.”   Yes, there’s even a gingerbread Room 237! (Fun fact: the famous paintings are printed on edible paper, literally every scary thing in this house is also edible). And, the pièce de résistance, the elevator of blood, courtesy of a bunch of melted Jolly Ranchers.

The whole shebang took two weeks for the family to put together. Apparently the family does overachiever gingerbread houses every year, but this is the first year they’ve posted photos on Reddit. To which we say “Can you please post the backlog and also in the future post every gingerbread house you do and also can you family figure out a way to become immortal so this tradition never stops?”
