Our girl Selena Gomez has always had mad Instagram game, and that includes proficiency with various photograph apps. Back in 2014 fans were obsessed with her use of the 8mm Vintage Camera app, and Latina awarded her “Best Use of Filters on Instagram.” Now our photographer-singer-savant has given us a blast from the past with this old school Hipstamatic-filtered pic, which makes the photograph look like it belongs in a high school yearbook from the 1969:

The filter is, not surprisingly, called Ina’s 1969, and it is awesome. We really dig the looks this film provokes, and now those of us who don’t already have Hipstamatic are considering downloading the app. For more of a taste of Ina’s 1969, just search the #inas1969 on Instagram.

As for the pic Selena chose to go old school with? The filter might be a blast from the past, but the picture is firmly about the future. Sel captioned it, “after two weeks on the studio bus safe to say this next album is 👅💋 — its just starting tho.”

Next album? YAS PLEASE.
