If you’re looking to treat yourself to a new Macbook Pro, prepare yourself for a surprise. According to Bloomberg, the new Macbook Pro is going to look completely different from anything Apple Inc. has released before. If you’re a die-hard Apple lover, you already know that the company prides itself on being innovative and being ahead of the technology curve, so it shouldn’t be too shocking to hear that they’re going to switch things up.

What will these changes entail? According to Bloomberg, the updated Macbook Pros will be thinner all around, and feature a touch screen strip for function keys. The pressure-sensitive trackpad will also be a little bit wider. Allegedly, the updated models will also have more powerful and efficient graphics processors, aimed at video gamers and other tech-y users. As of right now, it is unclear whether or not Apple will release the updated Macbooks in multiple colors, though Bloomberg shares that Apple has considered bringing silver, gold, and gray options into the line.

As KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo told Bloomberg earlier this year, many changes will also occur in terms of the display. First, a secondary display above the keyboard that replaces the standard function key row. Then, “instead of physical keys, a strip-like screen will present functions on an as-needed basis that fit the current task or application. The smaller display will use Organic Light-Emitting Diodes, a thinner, lighter and sharper screen technology.”

Allegedly, Apple has been testing their new models since earlier this year, and there is not a release date currently set. I, for one, am looking forward to checking out the new models and seeing what changes to the user-experience Apple has in store for us next.
