I’ve always been one of the tallest girls all throughout elementary school, middle school, and high school, and even though I stopped growing at 5’8, I’m usually still one of the tallest ladies wherever I am. It’s something I used to feel self-conscious about (I can’t wear heels without towering over others! I can’t wear short dresses without them fitting like t-shirts!), but I’ve learned to embrace it. Being tall? It’s actually pretty fun. Here are 15 reasons why.

1. It’s easier to reach things, like books and cereal boxes.

2. And you don’t have to ask a sales associate to get that shirt on the higher rack.

3. While you may have bigger feet, they totally make sense in proportion to your size.

4. That said, your shoe size is most likely never sold out.

5. And when you wear heels, you’re almost always complimented about your legs. Because dayummm gurl.

6. If you have short roommates, you get the tops shelves in the kitchen all to yourself.

7. It’s WAY easier to dust.

8. You’re better at sports pretty much by default. A clumsy, un-athletic tall person will most likely still beat a clumsy un-athletic short person. Height is definitely on our side.

9. Clothes proportions just seem to be made for this height —especially jeans.

10. You don’t have to get anything shortened/hemmed.

11. Even if you wear flats, you can still pull off looking fancy at fancy events

14. Even if you’re in the back row of a concert, you can still probably make out what’s happening on stage.

15. You appear more powerful, even if you aren’t. Bwahaahaha.
