After the tragic news over the weekend about the untimely passing Anton Yelchin, those who knew and worked with him have been coming forward to pay tribute. Susan Sarandon, who worked with the actor in the 2008 movie Middle of Nowhere just wrote one of the most touching tributes to the late actor on her Facebook page.

The actress’ words are truly beautiful. Sarandon has been in the entertainment business for a long time, so to hear her speak so highly of a fellow performer as “an original” is really telling. Her thoughtful tribute to the young “curious, funny, and sweet” actor and her condolences to his family perfectly encapsulate how unbelievably sad this loss really is.

We will get one last chance to see this true talent shine onscreen as he is in the upcoming Star Trek Beyond movie, due out in July of this year. No doubt seeing him this final time will be a bittersweet feeling for everyone who loved him. Which, from the amount of outpouring that has come his way as a result of his passing, pretty much seems like everyone he’s ever met.
