It may have taken some time but spring is finally in the air. Now that we can (hopefully) put away our shovels and snow boots, we’re ready to start breaking our all our spring favorites, including light sweaters, sun dresses, and ICED COFFEE.
While some brave citizens will drink their beloved iced coffee all year long, most of us, especially those in colder climates, have to bid adieu to the cold caffeinated beverage. But now we’re ready to reunite with iced coffee and Starbucks is here to help with their new limited edition flavor, Toasted Coconut Cold Brew. Yum!
The drink is made using Starbucks Cold Brew coffee, with a blend of toasted coconut which complements the chocolate notes from the Nariño 70 Cold Brew, and a touch of coconutmilk to add some creaminess to the concoction. Seriously, we can’t wait to try it.
Toasted Coconut Cold Brew is just the latest coconut-based drink to join the Starbucks menu. In 2002, the Mocha Coconut Frappuccino debuted as a limited edition flavor and returns to the menu due to popularity and most recently, the Iced Coconutmilk Mocha Macchiato joined the menu in 2016. It’s safe to say, Starbucks customers love their coconut flavored drinks.
We can’t wait to try this new drink. After a long, cold, snowy winter (for us east coaster), we can’t wait to welcome spring with our new favorite Starbucks cold brew!
