Selena Gomez is back and better than ever, and we can’t get enough of her! In another honest interview, Gomez explained why vulnerability is so important to her, and we totally agree.
Gomez took a little break from the limelight, but she’s back and loving life. It’s amazing to hear and even better to see…through her smile.
At the Los Angeles premiere of Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why — which Gomez is an executive producer on — she talked about her new attitude on life.
The 24-year-old actress explained that being vulnerable is not a sign of weakness.
“I think kids especially, with social media sometimes, they just feel a little claustrophobic, and I don’t think their voice is actually being heard,” she said.
“I want people to know that every single life is valuable, that their voice can be heard, and that there are people who are willing to be there for them,” she added.
Gomez’s new series follows Clay’s (Dylan Minnette) journey to find the truth about his classmate, Hannah’s (Katherine Langford) suicide. It’s an interesting and intriguing series idea, with numerous twists and turns.
That being said, Gomez’s determination to make the show raw and vulnerable will hopefully shed light on teenage issues and suicide in general.
It’s the actress’s real life openness that we hope to see come through within this show’s story.
This is SO good to hear.
We just love how willing the Texas native is to share her trials and tribulations with the masses. Her honesty is refreshing and inspirational.
