Rihanna just confirmed her next single as “Love on the Brain” and I’m about two seconds from completely spazzing TF out. On Sunday, after RiRi wrapped up her headlining set at the V Festival in England, she posted a fan’s video recording of her performing the spirited ANTI ballad live in concert. She captioned the Instagram post, “#nextsingle.”

Even though this song has been on my repeat playlist ever since Ri’s eighth album dropped, it will still be most necessary for me to yell-sing it every time it plays on the radio. The energy she emits while performing “Love” is totally infectious. Anyone else remember how she killed the live performance of “Love on the Brain” at the Billboard Music Awards?

Clearly, she came to slay. #missionaccomplished

Basically, I expect Rihanna’s over-the-top performance theatrics to be front and center stage in the music video. The sexy, laid-back vibes of her previous vids were cool — the visuals for “Kiss it Better” actually made me drool a little — BUT, here’s a desperate plea for Rihanna: The “Love on the Brain” video needs to be as heart-wrenching as the song. Make the fans feel it. We need to be as emotional as we were upon discovering how dangerously close we came to living in a world where Rihanna never recorded “Work.”

OK, so that was a tall, dramatic ass order, but we all know Rihanna can handle it.
