Chances are, we’ve all been to a wedding where not everything went off without a hitch (no pun intended). Now, Reddit’s stories of weddings gone wrong might actually give you nightmares. We seriously can’t stop reading this Reddit thread. To be fair, there are plenty of weddings out there where everything goes perfectly, from this bride wearing her grandma’s old wedding dress to this couple whose wedding was on Halloween. Plus, new wedding trends emerge all the time, like couples ditching the idea of traditional bridesmaids and groomsmen for bridesmen and best women.

So what are some stories of weddings gone wrong? Here are some of our favorites, if we can call them that.

Sometimes, key details are missing…

…and yet more details are incorrect.

Other times, there are wardrobe malfunctions…

..and some are unbelievable (but hopefully funny now?).

There was the one about the best worst man…

…and another questionable best man…

…as well as the one about the worst dogs, so to speak.

There was the one about how the bride had to leave suddenly…

…and, apparently, the groom may faint, too.

This story brings new meaning to having a wedding be a memorable day…

…and this one is memorable, too, for all the wrong reasons.

Suffice it to say, there may be unexpected surprises.

Hopefully, despite the above, all the couples in question are still happily married. And, besides, at least they have some good stories to tell!
