A professor’s inspiring end-of-semester email to her students is going viral – with good reason.

Jessica Langer taught a marketing and creative industries course at Toronto’s Ryerson University this semester. As classes ended, she emailed her students an encouraging message.

The letter took off after being shared on twitter, attracting thousands of retweets and inspiring strangers all over the world.

[subheaderLanger told Buzzfeed News she wrote the letter because she saw how talented her students were, but how much anxiety they had about the future.[/subheader]

“Your value doesn’t depend on how lucky you are, or how successful you are, or how famous or skillful or rich… You matter,” Langer said.

Great, now we’re crying!
