Although many of us probably don’t drink alcohol at work, this office has a “Press for Champagne” button, reported Brit + Co. We want to know one thing: Are they hiring?! It turns out the office won’t actually open until March of 2018, so we have a while to get our cover letters and resumes together. But what’s the deal with the button, right?! It’s very Mad Men-esque in a non-Mad Men era. Granted, it’s a fascinating idea — though we’re not sure how much work we’d actually get done if there’s Champagne involved. 😉

The first prerequisite, though, is working in the office building where the “Press for Champagne” button will be available.

It’s in London’s Soho area at 40 Beak Street.

In case you’re curious, space will cost £550 per square foot. Nbd! When all is said and built, it’ll be a five-story building and also have a basement. The Sticks’n’Sushi restaurant will be on the first floor and use “waiterstyle lifts” to deliver the Champagne to the floors above, according to The Drinks Business.

What was the inspiration for the Champagne buttons? None other than the luxury Soho restaurant Bob Bob Ricard, famous for its “Press for Champagne” buttons — as you can see in the above Instagram post.

You can also see the placement of the “Press for Champagne” button at Bob Bob Ricard in this short video.

Last July 18th for National Caviar Day, the restaurant even temporarily replaced all the “Press for Champagne” buttons with “Press for Caviar” ones, according to Hospitality & Catering News. Clever!

And you can always have Champagne and caviar…

Suffice it to say, we imagine that the new Soho offices’ “Press for Champagne” buttons will look similar.

Yup, that definitely sounds like Mad Men to us! Meanwhile, get your cover letters and resumes ready, like we said before — or hope the idea will spread beyond London. Cheers to that!
