Dogs with jobs are our favorite thing in the world. Just the sight of a dog wearing a little vest ready to greet you at a hospital will instantly put us in our feelings. Damn, give more dogs some jobs and the world might be a little brighter. However, some dogs just aren’t cut out for work, like Lulu the black lab, who flunked out of CIA bomb school.

It’s okay puppers, not everyone wants to sniff out explosive devices for a living.

From the CIA’s official Twitter, they gave us this “pupdate.”

The CIA also explained how they know when it’s time to let a dog go.

“All dogs, like humans, have good & bad days when learning something new,” the CIA tweeted. “Same for our pups, though it usually lasts just a day or two. There are a million reasons why a dog has a bad day & our trainers must become doggy psychologists to figure out what will help pups. Sometimes a pup is bored & needs extra playtime, sometimes they need a little break, or it’s a minor medical condition like a food allergy. For some dogs, after weeks of working w them, it’s clear the issue isn’t temporary & instead, this just isn’t the job they are meant for.”

Okay, so what happened with Lulu?

We are happy to report that Lulu was adopted by her trainer and now gets to live the chill life she’s always wanted. But let’s be real, wouldn’t we all rather get pets than go to work?
