Barack Obama just became the 4th president to visit all 50 states, and the reason behind the his visit to his 50th state, South Dakota, is JUST TOO CUTE.

11-year-old Rebecca of Vermillion, South Dakota wrote Obama a straight-up amazing letter, giving him the hard sell re: a presidential visit. Here’s the letter in all its wonder and glory:

Obama took her awesome points (“We are the warmest of the Dakotas” and “I sometimes see coyotes, hawks, and bald eagles”) to heart, and speaking of hearts, he was clearly moved by the not one but TWO illustrations of broken hearts she included in her letter, and so off he went to South Dakota.

“I have now been to all 50 states, and I was saving the best for last,” Obama said in a commencement speech he delivered at South Dakota’s Lake Area Technical Institute. “To the other 49, I hope you take no offense.”

Just to make sure there were no hard feelings,
