We always thought Friends‘ Rachel Green scored big in the cutie-patootie department when she started dating Tag Jones, her 24-year-old assistant at Ralph Lauren.

And though their relationship wasn’t meant to be (Ross+Rachel4Eva) we never stopped thinking of his cute face and wondering what happened to him after he walked off the set of Friends forever.

Well, it turns out that Eddie Cahill — that’s the actor who played Tag, in case you forgot that Tag wasn’t a real person — has been working steadily since Friends and returns to primetime this fall in ABC’s new procedural drama, Conviction!

And guess what? He’s still as cute as he used to be, only more adult-y, lesser surfer bro these days.

Cahill says that despite the fact that he’s been on Sex and the City, CSI and tons of other big-name shows, it’s still his seven-episode stint on Friends that gets him the most attention.

Yes you do, Eddie. Yes, you do.

In Conviction, Cahill plays Conner Wallace, the Manhattan district attorney who’s heading up a conviction review team. The star of the show is Hayley Atwell, best known for her role as Peggy Carter in the Agent Carter series, who plays a First-Daughter-and-brilliant-lawyer-gone-wild tasked with reviewing potentially wrongful convictions.

If these two are anything like Tag and Rachel, we can’t wait to see their chemistry on-screen.
