We’ve been impatiently waiting for The BFG movie to come out ever since it was announced. Do you remember reading the book of the same name back in grade school? Yup, the very same one is being made into a movie! The project is the creative brainchild of Disney, author Roald Dahl, and director Steven Spielberg — so you know it’s going to be fantastical.

The BFG, or the Big Friendly Giant, is a 24-foot tall giant who collects good dreams and distributes them to children. One night he snatches a girl named Sophie out of her window and whisks her away to Giant Country. They become fast friends; he teaches her about catching dreams and about the other giants who live in Giant Country.

Unfortunately, not all of the giants are as nice as the BFG — something Sophie learns. She particularly doesn’t get along with the Bloodbottler Giant, who is amazingly voiced by Bill Hader.

At first glance, you might think this is a trailer for a scary movie, or a serious drama. But just give it a few seconds and the magic will unfold. The BFG doesn’t hit theaters until July, but we’re already counting down the days until its release! Check out the trailer below.
