Settle in and get comfy, because we need to talk about Melisandre. Spoilers ahead for every single episode of Game of Thrones this season.

You know Melisandre, aka The Red Priestess, right? You know her, and maybe you like her because she brought our Jon Snow back from the dead! Or maybe you hate her because she was the one who suggested that sweet little Shireen be BURNED AT THE STAKE. Whatever your stance on her, there’s no denying that your jaw dropped to the floor when it was revealed at the end of “The Red Woman” that Melisandre is actually like, a billion years old (rough guess) and has been keeping her youthful ~glow~ thanks to that magical chocker she wears around her neck.

Knowing what we know about this lady, it’s super surprising, interesting, and intriguing that in a newly released promo picture for this week’s Game of Thrones shows someone who is not Melisandre wearing the Westeros Paul Rudd Magical Choker of Everlasting Youth.

To be clear, this is a completely different Red Priestess from Melisandre, because there can be multiple Red Priestesses out there — It’s not like our Melisandre put on the choker and was suddenly ~brand new~, even though it could probably happen (also remember, we’ve seen Melisandre again since she took the choker off, and became her older self). But this is so far the first Red Priestess that we’ve seen who’s also wearing the Westeros Paul Rudd Magical Choker of Everlasting Youth. Season 5’s Red Priestess, played by Rila Fukushima, did NOT wearing any sort of choker (unless it’s underneath her collar).

This new Red Priestess, named Kinvara, can be glimpsed in the promo for the episode, “The Door.” She tells Tyrion that, “Knowledge has made you powerful, but there’s still so much you don’t know.”

Okay, cool, but WHAT IS SHE DOING? What is going on with thisWesteros Paul Rudd Magical Choker of Everlasting Youth, a name I hope they actually give it on the show?? Is she going to take it off and turn into not an older woman, but a dragon, or a white walker, or the Three-Eyed Raven or SOMETHING ELSE? Is there some strange Red Priestess Girl Gang where they all wear this same choker, and completely mess up the lives of many around them?

Just when you think you’ve got Melisandre +1 and her tricks figured out, there comes another curveball.
