Avocado toast is an institution. Not only is it delicious and healthy-tasting all at the same time – it’s also super easy and super cheap to make (depending on the ingredients you use, of course). However, it seems that our beloved avocado toast may have some competition…

Because sweet potato toast is now a thing (and tbh, it looks SO GOOD):

Is this not the most delectable spread you’ve ever seen?

What’s perhaps the best part is that this type of meal is perfect for those who are gluten-free (because no bread!). Sweet potatoes are also a great source of beta-carotene (an antioxidant that helps maintain healthy skin and hair) and vitamin A (helps with bone growth and immune system health).

As for preparing such a nutrient-rich feast, Mashable recommends that you cut a sweet potato into thin slices, bake it in the oven or toaster oven until it’s crispy, and then top it with everything your heart desires.

Now, if you’ll excuse us, we’ll just be buying out the entire supply of sweet potatoes at our local grocery stores.
