Sometimes the most heartwarming stories come from overcoming darkness and grief. That’s exactly the case with this tale of a mother who turned a grief-filled situation into an inspiring call to action.
Wendy Cruz-Chan was 19 weeks pregnant with her son, Killian, when he was stillborn after she contracted a rare uterus infection called chorioamnionitis. But even after this tragic ordeal, Cruz-Chan’s body was still producing milk.
When interviewed about her inspiring story, Cruz-Chan told InsideEdition.com:
The entire process was documented on social media to help normalize breast milk donation and raise awareness of the process. In total, Cruz-Chan was able to donate 2,000 ounces of breast milk!
Hopefully, Cruz-Chan’s story can help bring more awareness and action to get more people involved.
