If you often start your days wondering what time you can eat the next pint of ice cream — or when Ben & Jerry’s will release new flavors — we have good news for you. The Museum of Ice Cream is making its way to ~another~ city this summer… so we can all scream for ice cream (sorry, we had to).
Originally located in New York, the Museum of Ice Cream was so popular that it sold 30,000 tickets in five days. Now it’s coming to the Arts District in Downtown L.A. from April 22 to May 29.
The best part: This location will be FOUR TIMES bigger than the New York one. That means so many more ice cream-themed attractions to make the summer that much cooler.
Case in point: The museum will feature a “scoop of the week” on rotation with delicious treats from California ice cream geniuses like Salt & Straw, CREAM, My/Mo Mochi Ice Cream and McConnell’s.
And if trying ice cream doesn’t sound fun enough, how about an interactive “banana split” made up of ten thousand bananas? Other highlights: a “melted popsicle jungle,” and a “swimmable sprinkle pool” that’s exactly what it sounds like.
With one-hundred million custom-designed sprinkles, it sounds like a dream come true.
There are also plenty of Insta-worthy decorations to photograph throughout the space.
Tickets to the museum include two ice cream tastings and “surprise edible treats.” We are so there.
