Lauren Marbe: "Is this, like, a Noxzema commercial or what?"

But seriously, Lauren Marbe actually has a way normal life for a teenage girl. The 16-year-old British Cher Horowitz “loves fake tanning, blonde highlights, manicures and getting dressed up for parties,” but unlike Cher, Marbe gets straight-A’s — Without having to offer up her “sucky Italian roast.”

But smart girls with good looks isn’t anything new. (Hello everyone that writes for HG). What is new is Marbe’s crazy-high IQ score. The teen took the Mensa brain test (for fun) with a few other students at her school and scored a whopping 161. The average IQ in the UK is around 100, but even more impressively, Lauren’s score puts her smarts above dudes like Albert Einstein, Stephen Hawking and Bill Gates.

“In a time where the media and Government criticize our youth for their supposed ignorance and superficiality it is even more vital to celebrate and encourage intelligence,” the principal of Lauren’s high school commended. “It is these bright young things which we hope – with the guidance of a good education – will become the future leaders of our society.”

Right now, Lauren’s torn about what she wants to do when she grows up. She’s given thought to becoming a singer and dancer or studying architecture at the University of Cambridge.

“[The Mensa score] was such an achievement and I got a bit tearful to tell you the truth,” Lauren says. “I’m glad that I might be able to show people that we aren’t all ditzy and blonde.”

Ug. Does this mean that blondes have more fun AND bigger brains? As a life-long brunette, I think I’ll just mark this one as a win for ALL women. (Maybe she’s a bottle blonde? Mwahahah. Kidding. Ish).
