It’s been a long week by the time we get to Saturday. We’re all just looking to sit back and relax. Maybe spend some time remembering good things. Such as adorable koalas and the people who take care of them. Luckily for us, Australian citizens have got our backs.

Volunteers are giving water to thirsty koalas during the Australian heatwave.

It seriously doesn’t get much cuter than this. Thirsty koalas are a surprisingly common phenomenon, according to the Dodo. With rising temperatures in Australia, the cute koalas will often turn to new sources for water. For example, mooching off easily manipulated humans.

Friends of koalas will often prep for the heat by filling bird baths and bowls outside so koalas will have easy access to water.

That drenched koala just sitting and chilling is seriously the cutest thing ever.

Some Aussies take a more direct approach to quenching koala thirst.

We cannot handle how sweet all these thirsty koalas are! They seriously just wander up to people and ask for help. We could all learn a little something about life from these koalas and the people looking out for them.

Other koala helpers will simply help them escape the heat.

We didn’t know koalas could be regal and dignified, especially when getting an impromptu shower, but this cute is here to prove us wrong.

So thank you, Australia! We love you, and all your beautifully weird animals. Thank you for taking care of them, and putting all the pictures on the internet. Although we are totally not jealous of your heatwave, we’re very jealous of all the adorable koalas you get to keep an eye on. And we bet that they totally appreciate it too.
