Recently, Quentin Tarantino appeared on What the Flick?! with the show’s host Ben Wankiewicz to discuss his upcoming movie The Hateful Eight. But despite how great/terrifying/epic that movie looks, people are freaking out about another Tarantino original: Kill Bill. And that’s because Tarantino shared that there is a possibility of a Kill Bill Vol. 3. He is pretty clear about that though, saying, “a possibility — [I’ll] stop short of saying a probability.”

The most recent film in the series, Kill Bill Vol. 2 came out over eleven years ago, and had some pretty big names on its billing: Uma Thurman, Lucy Lia, and Vivica A. Fox, just to name a few. And you don’t need me to tell you that the Kill Bill franchise is wildly popular…so what’s the hold up?

Tarantino opened up about the famous films at the end of the interview. “I put the character of Beatrix Kiddo through a lot. And, so I wanted her to have this much time for peace […]I wanted her to have some time with her daughter and not have to be in the genre-machine. She could actually enjoy her life for a while.”

And according to A.V. Club, the possible third installation would center on Copperhead’s daughter avenging her mom (who she witnessed get killed by Beatrix Kiddo). “It’s not my intention to do this in front of you. For that I’m sorry. But you can take my word for it, your mother had it coming. When you grow up, if you still feel raw about it, I’ll be waiting,” Kiddo says to her. And maybe Copperhead’s little girl-all-grown-up IS waiting for her.

Although we don’t really have anything confirmed in regards to dates, who would be coming back, or concrete plot of the movie, this does confirm as least one thing: If Kill Bill Vol. 3 will lack anything, it sure won’t be fury, blood, and violence!
