Kid President (aka, ten-year-old Robby Novak) is back, and he’s more optimistic, adorable and wonderful than ever. Well, that’s not true —he’s ALWAYS optimistic, adorable, and wonderful. But anyway, in his newest video (produced by Rainn Wilson’s company, Soul Pancake) this super smart, funny kid delivers an inspirational pep talk titled “A Letter to the Future,” which takes down the notion of a dark, pessimistic future filled with “people crying, robots crying, Arnold Schwarzenegger,” and insists that it’s actually going to be AWESOME. Why? Because Kid President believes in you.

Because if we work on being kinder, showing more sympathy, judging less, and “making a ruckus for good,” then we GOT this, you guys. Because when life gives you lemons, you don’t just drink it, you DANCE (in the words of Kid Prez, obvs). As Robby points out, we all just need someone who believes in us, like just how someone believed in him.

Kid President’s speech is (per usual) incredibly on point and perfect. We ALL need to work on ourselves to ensure that our future is, in fact, the bright place we all want it to be, because right now? Things are scary. But they don’t have to be. We can change, and we can become better —we just have to believe in ourselves. Thanks for the much-needed wisdom, Kid Prez!
