Key & Peele have done it again with a truly hilarious, truly inspired sketch. As for their latest muse, it’s someone you wouldn’t expect: renowned astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson.

Now, the first thing you probably want to know is: How can someone make astrophysics funny? Well, if you add an angry wife, household chores that haven’t been done, and an uncanny Tyson impersonation (courtesy of Peele), that definitely gets the job done.

The sketch starts out with Tyson’s wife (played by Key), who is NOT amused when she finds out that her husband never took the dog out. (Yes, even world-renowned scientists have to worry about such things.) Neil’s signature response: “Well, actually…” He begins to walk toward the camera and use science, science, and EVEN MORE science to defend himself.

With help from some computer graphics and Peele’s spot-on impersonation, you’ll feel as though you’re watching a bizarre version of Tyson’s science show, Cosmos.

And how does his wife respond? After her husband’s long (and informative) tangent, she’s left with nothing else to say except, “Okay, well…just…next time.” On Facebook, the comedy show posted the sketch with this clever caption: “Seeing Neil deGrasse Tyson lose an argument is like seeing Sasquatch.”

The takeaway: If you ever want to win an argument and leave your opponent speechless, make sure to brush up on some science facts. (Maybe even watch a few of the real Neil deGrasse Tyson’s lectures?) The quarrelsome duo continues to deal with household problems, such as Tyson not being ready in time for a funeral and – gasp! – a cheating scandal. Each time he’s presented with conflict, Neil goes into Textbook Mode and leaves his wife with nothing left to say… until the end.

It turns out that Mrs. Tyson has a science-related secret of her own: She cheated with Bill Nye (naturally). And her husband’s response is something that you won’t find in any science journal.// < ![CDATA[

Even though their show will soon be ending, Key & Peele are still giving it their all. I mean, who else would watch Cosmos and think, “That right there is some golden comedy material”?

Check out the brilliant sketch below.
