Johnny Depp says he worried about Lily-Rose's job, is a total dad
Dads: they’re protective of their daughters — famous or not. And this totally includes actor Johnny Depp. Depp revealed to Gala magazine (via Us Weekly) that he’s worried about 16-year-old daughter Lily-Rose’s career; specifically that it’s happening a little too fast!
Lily-Rose, who is Depp’s only daughter with former partner Vanessa Paradis, is totally crushing it in the modeling and entertainment business. If you need a primer on who she is, start by Googling her amazing hit single “Be My Baby,” and look up her (much-sought-after) role as the face of (and muse behind) Chanel’s Perle Eyewear.
Oh and while you’re at it, you’ll see Lily-Rose walked down the runway for the famous Paris fashion house’s spring collection, was featured in her first editorial spread in Vogue Paris and is co-starring in a film with her dad. That sounds like a hectic schedule, especially for a teen —no WONDER Depp is a little concerned. We would be, too. And we hope Lily-Rose is taking some time for herself!
“To be honest, I’m quite worried,” Depp told the magazine. “What’s happening with Lily-Rose right now isn’t what I expected. Definitely not at this age. But these are her passions and she’s having fun.” Aw dad. Don’t worry, we think she’ll be okay. And we feel pretty reassured that she’s strong enough to take on the world as soon as we read this tweet from the boss queen herself:
You go, girl.
