Today is going to be a good day, because it started with a new song from Jennifer Lopez. The singer is slated to perform “Ain’t Your Mama” on the series finale of American Idol tonight, says Entertainment Weekly. Lucky for us, it’s also available now on iTunes and Spotify – – which is good, because we’ll be listening to “Ain’t Your Mama” all day.

The song is all about a guy who is taking advantage of her, staying home and playing video games while she’s out being, well, J.Lo .

“I ain’t gonna be cooking all day, I ain’t your mama,” she sings in “Ain’t Your Mama.” “I ain’t gonna do your laundry, I ain’t your mama… When did you get too comfortable, ‘cause I’m too good for that.”

In addition to having an awesome message we can get behind, the song also has an infectious beat that’s totally going to get stuck in our heads.

Billboard reports that J.Lo is just one of many stars to take the stage during the American Idol series finale in a performance that is set to pay homage to the show’s legacy. We can think of no better way to send of Idol than by honoring it with some of the greatest singers of our time — especially with a new tune. Trust us, we’ll be singing along.
