Jeff Goldblum has a new TV show, and we are truly blessed
Last week, I learned a very important thing: The world loves Jeff Goldblum. AND RIGHTFULLY SO. The Man is a gd delight, whether he’s starring in a big summer blockbuster, or performing with his jazz band, or even selling sausages out of a food truck. He can do no wrong, because everything he does is so right.
So, it is my pleasure to announce to announce that his next venture will land right in our living rooms, in the form of a new Amazon TV series. #Blessed.
Our dear Goldblum also isn’t the only big name in the series — he’s going to star alongside Danny DeVito.
According to Deadline, the still-untitled comedy, “centers on an iconic music duo from the past, Matt Downey (Goldblum) & Arlo Finkleman (DeVito), who are forced to reunite despite their longstanding hatred for each other. As the talented but strong-willed pair attempt to reconcile, they turn to the people who somehow manage to love these two incandescent idiots — their wives, ex-wives, children, managers, friends and lovers — all of whom turn out to be as brilliant, infuriating and frustratingly lovable as Matt and Arlo themselves.”
The series was created and written by The Simpsons’ Tim Long, and comes from Imagine Television. You probably know the name Imagine Television because those nice people brought us Arrested Development.
The show’s currently in development over at Amazon Studios, and while it hasn’t been picked up to series yet, come on. It will. IT IS JEFF GOLDBLUM. Everything the light touches is his kingdom.
