After a seven-year hiatus, Janet Jackson is officially back in the studio, and she’s got the tunes to prove it!

Just yesterday, the living legend teased us with a sample of her newest tune (presumably titled “Conversations in a Cafe”) on Twitter. The brief audio clip features Janet’s signature vocals crooning over a smooth piano ballad. “I wanna tell you how important you are to me! Love J. #ConversationsInACafe,” she wrote on Twitter.

Aside from igniting those vintage Janet feels, the new track reflects a profoundly intimate side of the songstress that we haven’t seen in years. According to Entertainment Tonight, the song is about “the human spirit, love, marriage, Janet’s precious family, and her fans.” We also got the major emotions checking out, what we are hoping/praying/pretending, is Janet’s handwriting.

With her comeback album, Unbreakable, due in the fall, Janet will be going on a hefty world tour, performing 36 dates in 32 cities, from August through November. Tickets go on sale June 22 at JanetJackson.com, with an American Express pre-sale active (now!) through Friday. Hey, just another bonus to this new album!

Until you get those concert dates situated, you can revel in all 43 dazzling seconds of the clip. P.S., because technology sometimes fails us (we know you understand) to hear the Janet croons, click this link.
