Ariana Grande returned to the UK this weekend with a few of her famous friends in tow to perform at the One Love Manchester benefit concert. During the event, there was plenty of love being shared on stage, but it’s possible the most special moment of the night occurred off stage, when a Manchester policeman started dancing with a group of kids. The officer, who was on duty at the event, tightly held hands with the children while dancing around in circles, and effectively completely melted the internet.
With so many standing in solidarity, it was a powerful night. But the heartwarming moment shared between the Manchester officer and these children was exactly what we needed today. It serves as a reminder that love and joy still exist in this world, and is giving us hope for the future.
But don’t take our word for it, see the special moment for yourself.
Talk about one love, right? And the internet did not hold back the feels.
The special moment took place during Justin Bieber’s emotional performance (“I’m not going to let go of hope” the singer said). And it seems like the officer was attempting to do just that. Other performances included Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Take That, Niall Horan, The Black Eyed Peas, Coldplay, Usher, and Pharrell.
All proceeds will go towards the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund set up by Manchester City Council in partnership with the British Red Cross. The funds will be used to help those affected by the tragic attack.
