Three months ago, Liam Hemsworth posted a casually stunning Instagram photo of himself with his beloved dog Dora. That might not seem newsworthy, except it may contribute to Hollywood’s favorite mystery at the moment, Liam and Miley’s off again/on again status.

Piece of evidence number one:

In the following months, the 26-year-old Australian actor has kept rumors buzzing that he is back together with his former fiancee, Miley Cyrus. Cyrus and Hemsworth met in 2009, on set of their film The Last Song. The couple dated on-and-off throughout 2010 and 2011, accompanying each other to various events, such as the Vanity Fair Oscar party and the Los Angeles premiere of The Hunger Games.

In 2012, Cyrus confirmed their engagement to People Magazine. “I’m so happy to be engaged and look forward to a life of happiness with Liam,” she said in her official announcement. However, by 2013, the engagement was off and Cyrus took up twerking and donning onesies.

“This is the best time of my life,” she said in an interview with Cosmopolitan.  “I’m not going to look back on it and be like, ‘I wish I hadn’t been dwelling over a breakup,’ you know? Because that’s not what God wants my life to be about right now.”

2014 and 2015 saw both celebs date other people and take possible public digs at each other, but then came  a fluffy twist in November when Miley helped Hemsworth adopt the above floofball, Dora.

Ever since, the two have been spotted out and about together. They’ve lunched with his family in West Hollywood, CA and they’ve partied with his friends in Australia.

Jump forward to crucial piece of evidence number two:

AHA! There’s Miley with the same floofball! Last week, the “Wrecking Ball” singer posted a selfie with Hemsworth’s pup Dora. This bare-faced, low light, casually-dressed Instagram picture seems to confirm all the speculative rumors that these two are officially back together — or that cuddle time with Dora is simple impossible to turn down.

What do you think? Are they back on or aren’t they?!
