Are we having a feminist fever dream or did OPI really just drop a women’s empowerment-themed collection with Kerry Washington (aka, the Goddess of All Things)?

Fortunately, this is not a dream! The cleverly named Washington DC collection is here – and it is FABULOUSLY feminist.

This is Washington’s first collab with OPI since becoming the brand’s creative ambassador back in 2015. It is not, however, her first foray into feminist activism. Washington has long dedicated herself to lifting up other women – and she makes a point to speak about equity, intersectionality, real beauty, and justice at every opportunity.

Of the OPI collection, she said,

“Nail color is a simple but impactful form of individual expression. Wearing bold shades like these is empowering and uplifting, not to mention a perfect way to show some election year spirit!”

The $10 fall colors (and their names) are inspired by the powerful women of Washington, D.C. – not unlike Washington’s Scandal character, Olivia Pope. Some of our faves include:

The nearly-nude “Pale to the Chief.”

The rich garnet “We the Female.”

And the take-charge dark gray “‘Liv’ in the Moment.” (Like “Liv” Pope!)

But the one we’ll be sporting all through election season? Without a doubt, it’s the delicious, velvety “Madam President.”

There are 12 permanent shades in the collection and three that are available for a limited time only: “‘Liv’ in the Moment,” “Inside the ISABELLEtway,” and “Kerry Blossom.”
