All the latest jewelry trends have been giving us flashbacks of our teen years (chokers, anyone?) but our newest jewelry obsession is a throwback to a time even farther back than that: the candy necklaces we used to rock (and eat) when we were kids.

This time around, they’re not edible, but they’re way more stylish. Just ask all the trendsetters, models, style bloggers, and Instagram stars that have been rocking Roxanne Assoulin’s colorful bracelets and chokers. And seriously, look how cute they are:

Roxanne came up with the idea for the pieces while playing with some colorful mosaic tiles in her studio. She loved how whimsical and cheery the simple shapes and colors looked all together.

“They remind me of Chiclets gum, of candy,” she told InStyle. “It’s fun, it’s colorful, it’s not precious, it’s not complicated. And everyone wants it. The best thing about it is that it crosses real boundaries. People of all ages can wear it, from a kid to someone in their 60s and 70s.”

Roxanne’s pieces will cost you a bit more than the candy jewelry of yesteryear (prices range from $75 to $120) but we think they’re totally worth it. Now the big question: what color combo to choose?!
