Okay,  fellow wavy-and-curly-haired ladies, listen up. Have you ever spent what felt like an eternity trying to straight out your unruly locks for a different look for the night, only to step outside and have the humidity set them free all over again? Or did you ever basically sprain your wrist trying to get your straightening iron in the perfect position to get your ‘do sleek half way and then suddenly have the power go out?

Alright, maybe these are kind of extreme examples, but the point we’re trying to make is if you’re just about sick of your long-term relationship with your flat iron, there may be another option out there for you (if you want to keep straightening your hair).

We’re talking about the Dafni brush that’s making us all do some serious double-takes as we see this piece of sorcery at work. In the viral video, which was originally posted on a Texas radio station Facebook’s page, a woman with thick, wavy hair plugs in the Dafni and immediately gets to brushing her tresses till they end up looking like she spent 20 minutes on them with an iron. Certainly an improvement to many of our usual hair routines. Here it is in case it has yet to make your own Facebook feed:

However, TechInsider wound up doing a second video to see if it worked as well as the first video, and while it did help some of the women, those with the curliest hair weren’t impressed. You can see the results below:

Worst of all was finding out just how much this device costs: a total of $300 smackeroos.

While we’re digging how well this brush would work on our own hair, we’ll probably wait until the price tag goes down.
