I recently did a round-up of all the best lapel pins on the internet, and while they’re a fantastic way to add some flair to your outfit without making any permanent marks on your clothing, there are other ways to snazz up an outfit. Recently, I’ve been having a little more fun dressing like I’m a teenager again (even though I recently turned 28), and I’ve been all about patches for those of us that aren’t so afraid of commitment. For those of you who want to take the plunge and iron or sew a patch on your fave denim jacket (or even some pants, you wild thing), here are some of the best patches out there right now, no matter what kind of statement you’re trying to make.

Let your jacket say “no” for you.

Remind everyone who is in charge (it’s you!).

Boss Lady Patch from fairycakes, $8.92

In memory of better, more lit times.

Wear your anatomically correct (er, sort of) heart on your sleeve.

Because even if you have RBF, people should still be kind to you.

We all need a good cry every once in a while (or daily…). Maybe this one should go on a dedicated crying jacket.

I ain’t sorry.

Because we’re all magical creatures.

As if we wouldn’t get this patch.

This is the only club I could ever commit to.
