Here are nine seconds of "Sherlock" that need to last us until 2017
Good news for those of us who find ourselves Sherlock-ed! The fourth season of BBC’s Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman helmed bromance drama is officially, 100% in production! You know what that means? SHERLOCK IS COMING BACK SO SOON.
JK. It’s not coming back anytime soon. Because Sherlock is so perfect, and too good for this world, we can’t overload ourselves with it because we might not be able to withstand its powerful force. With that being said, it’s a super great thing that these seasons are so spread out over time that we drive ourselves into our Mind Palace waiting for more episodes to drop. Season 3 aired all the way back in 2014, and while we got a little Sherlock taste earlier this year with the one-off Christmas special, we won’t see Sherlock Holmes and John Watson again until 2017. That’s sooooooooooooooooo far away.
Sherlock at least knows we miss it dearly, so in honor of the first day of production, we’ve got a tiny little behind-the-scenes taste. But don’t like, consume it all at once, because it’s only nine seconds, and this nine seconds has to last us the rest of the year.
You’ll recognize the lad in the video as Mark Gatiss, who you probably know as Mycroft Holmes. He also happens to be one of the co-creators of Sherlock, along with Steven Moffat. Gatiss comments that “The game is on,” and Gatiss, you have no idea.
So enjoy these nine seconds. Relish them. This might be all we get for the next 10 months. Sherlock, we miss you so. Come back.
