We ~love~ working out. Okay, fine. We have a love-hate relationship with working out. Which means we tend to be here for any excuse not to. Sleepy? Skipping the gym! Sneezing? Time to text our jogging partner to tap out. But, seriously, when should we skip the gym? How sick is too sick? Luckily, our friends at Glamour did a little digging, and we finally know when is sick enough to back out.

Sanford Vieder, D.O., medical director of Lakes Urgent Care, said that a fever is enough to back down from the gym.

But is this going to throw off your workout?

Good to know! But, in case you’re more inclined to take advice from a celeb (hey, we’re not judging!), here’s what Khloé Kardashian thinks.

On her app, she explained,

“I personally always try to stick to my workout schedule even when I’m sick.  I’ve been fighting a cold for weeks but don’t want to stop working out and lose motivation! Sometimes you just have to listen to your body and take a break.”

Long story short? It seriously does depend, but at the end of the day, listen to your body. Whether you have a disability or a temporary illness, only you know when you need a break and when you should keep pushing. Don’t let all that ~never stop~ nonsense get to you. Sometimes, stopping is the only answer that works for you and your body, and there’s no shame in it!

And Vieder  agrees.
