This weightlifter and fitness coach has INCREDIBLE advice for how women can learn to love their bodies
Body positivity is incredibly important, so we always appreciate hearing from those super involved in the fitness community and learning how they’ve learned to both love and care for their bodies. So when we learned that Self interviewed weightlifter, fitness coach, and CrossFit competitor Christmas Abbott, we knew we’d want to hear what she had to say. And she came through with *awesome* advice!
In an interview with Self, Christmas Abbott explained,
Yes! While there is definitely negativity to be found in the world of health and fitness, with body-shaming and the constantly “just keep going” mentality sometimes an issue, we are so here for the message that taking care of our bodies is important. Because that means so many different things, from making yourself give your doctor a call to making sure you eat something green to caring for your mental health.
We have to take care of ourselves the best we can, and Abbott is 100% about it.
She continued explaining her take on fitness, saying,
We can definitely see why the self-proclaimed “relentless rebel” has made MAJOR waves in the fitness world, from her influence on her 375k Instagram followers to her book, The Badass Body Diet. We’re so excited to have her speak only about the fact that fitness doesn’t look like any one thing.
