Lea Michele shares a powerful message of body positivity to deliver by way of nude magazine cover
There are some people who just emit an aura of positivity, and Lea Michele fits the bill. Even though she tragically lost her boyfriend Cory Monteith in 2013, she continues to be open about her experience and how she’s moving on, while remembering him in the sweetest ways possible.
But today, Lea Michele has our attention for a completely different reason. She stripped naked for the cover of Women’s Health U.K., and talked candidly about how she maintains her emotional and physical wellbeing.
And her words are nothing short of inspiring, because she doesn’t put uneccessary pressure on herself. “Right now, I feel physically in my best shape, and emotionally in my best place…I’m not perfect. I’m not trying to represent myself as being some perfect girl, but I love myself, flaws and all.”
Even Lea Michele has days that aren’t so great, and she’s figured out a way to deal with them. “I make some macaroni cheese, call my mom, pour a glass of red wine and watch some reality television. There’s nothing that can’t fix.”
Ummmmm, sounds pretty great to us! Michele also discusses in the interview about how she doesn’t go on any crazy diets, takes time to care for herself on a regular basis, and supports overall body positivity.
Michele’s nude appearance also revealed her latest tattoo tribute to Monteith, the word “Finn” on the left side of her lower back. This complements the previous tattoo she got in his memory, which was the number “5,” his jersey number.
This issue of Women’s Health will be available for your reading pleasure later this week.
