In a recent Shape Magazine interview, Kate Beckinsale said she doesn’t drink alcohol – at all – and does INSANE workouts almost every day. Meanwhile, we sit here gorging on cookies and cocktails and haven’t exercised in weeks. “We deserve it!” we say, but sounds like Beckinsale runs the straight and narrow at all times sans excuse and that’s why her figure is slamming.

“I don’t drink alcohol,’ she tells the mag. “I feel [its effects] very quickly, so I’ve never actually had an entire glass of anything alcoholic.”

Beckinsale shows off her carved physique on the cover of Shape’s January issue.

She says she exercises first thing in the morning with a personal trainer, five or six days a week. “I basically wake up, eat breakfast, and then work out.” And that would be why she kills in a catsuit.

“Hard-core workouts have really made a big difference in my life. I have a lot of internal energy, and intense exercise helps me channel that energy. I find balance by doing a workout that makes me pour sweat,” she adds of her grueling exercise routine.

The fifth installment of the Underworld franchise, Blood Wars, hits theaters January 6th.

We’ll see the fruits of Beckinsale’s extreme labor, as she kicks ass once again as Vampire death dealer, Selene.

For the fourth film in the series, Awakening, the actress and former “Esquire’s Sexiest Woman Alive” followed celebrity trainer and fitness expert Ramona Braganza’s meal plan.

“My plan includes 3 meals, 2 snacks and 1 liter of water minimum a day,” Braganza told Shape. “The go-to snack I recommend is baked all-natural Pirate’s Booty. It tastes great and has less calories than fried chips. With a 65-calorie pack it keeps portion sizes under control.”

Okay, we can get with that.
