It’s always nice to hear positive news when someone has had a health scare, but it feels especially important in the lead-up to Christmas and the holidays.

So, we just heard that Giuliana Rancic is celebrating being five years cancer-free! And we’re so freaking happy for her.

She was diagnosed in her late thirties in-between rounds of IVF treatment, but luckily the disease was detected early and she’s been in remission for several years. Rancic opened up about her experience with breast cancer in an emotional Instagram post, emphasizing a powerful mantra that she lives by every day.

We absolutely love her healthy outlook on life, because even when you go through difficult times it’s so incredibly important to maintain that inner strength.

Rancic went on to write about her journey and how significant this milestone is to her. “This week, these words are especially meaningful as I celebrate an important milestone – the one I have prayed for every night for one thousand, eight hundred and twenty-seven nights: Five years cancer-free.”

She also acknowledges those who are still going through their battle with cancer.

Shannen Doherty is one of those people, and she recently posted about how difficult it is to stay optimistic after chemo. We’re thinking of her so much right now as we read Ranic’s words.

So much yes to this! She is a pillar of strength for us all, no matter our current situation. So thank you to Giuliana for keeping it real. Happy holidays, girl — and to many, many more!
